In the opulent British Ambassador’s residence, nestled near Washington DC, an unexpected encounter awaits that will rock everything I thought I knew and change the course of my life. Only by coming to the Lord Jesus Christ by faith alone will Christ’s righteousness be imputed to you and your sins imputed to Christ, but if death claims you first, it will be too late. We cannot, now or ever, pay the price for breaking God’s law. There’s no other hope but through the Lord Jesus Christ and His righteousness, mercy and grace. Jesus took our sins upon Himself, saving us from the wrath of God. For in Christ, all the requirements of the law were perfectly met, paying the price we could not. Something devastating has infiltrated many of our present-day “churches.” There has been an abandonment of sorts when it comes to declaring the biblical truth about sin, replacing it with something akin to a “milk toast” approach.
